About Wendra

Wendra is a fluffy girl with a heart full of love, searching for her forever home. This sweet 1-year-and-5-month-old Sheltie and Shepherd mix is currently at Lucky Dog's South Carolina rescue campus but is eager to move to the DC area. Weighing in at about 25 lbs, she needs to gain some weight and is underweight at the moment. Wendra has a friendly disposition and gets along well with other dogs. While she hasn’t been tested with cats or children, the rescue is happy to provide guidance on how to introduce her to new friends. Wendra tested positive for heartworms, but don’t worry; she’s in a supportive place where she can receive treatment. After the necessary care, she can live a normal, active life and just needs calmness for about 4-6 weeks post-treatment. She would love an active family who enjoys walks and adventures, along with a cozy spot to snuggle after a fun day out. Wendra is eager for her new chapter—one where she can feel secure, loved, and truly at home. Could you be the person she’s been waiting for? What are you waiting for? Apply today!
