About Hickory
Hickory is a young and energetic Sheltie mix looking for a fresh start. At just 1 year old, she weighs about 19.6 lbs and is eager to find her forever home. Rescued from a hoarding situation in South Carolina, Hickory hasn't been well socialized with new people and may show signs of fear and anxiety around unfamiliar sounds or sights. For this reason, she needs a patient adopter who can help her become more comfortable in her new environment. Hickory gets along well with other dogs, but her experiences with cats and kids are still unknown. A loving, quiet home with gentle guidance would be ideal for her to flourish. Currently living at a shelter, Hickory needs either a foster or forever home where she can play with toys, enjoy treats, and perhaps snuggle into a soft bed. Since she’s still young, she'll benefit greatly from mental and physical stimulation. If you're ready to invest time and love into helping Hickory come out of her shell, she'd love to meet you. Make a difference in her life; start the adoption process today!
