About Bandit

Meet Bandit, a 7-month-old Pit Bull/Husky mix who is truly a character. With his goofy personality and big heart, he strikes a balance between being an adventurous companion and a cozy couch buddy. When Bandit first came to rescue, he was a bit unsure of his surroundings, but now he’s blossomed into an outgoing and curious young dog who loves to explore. Whether he's splashing in the hose or lounging in the sun, Bandit is just happy to be part of the action. Bandit is highly motivated by food and toys, making training enjoyable. He already knows commands like sit, shake, and lay down, and he’s making great strides with potty and crate training. He easily goes into his crate, keeps it clean, and alerts his foster when he needs to go outside. This friendly guy loves being around other dogs and plays respectfully with his foster sibling. Due to his playful nature and size, he’s best suited for medium to large dogs or smaller, confident pups that can handle his playful antics. Bandit is also good with the resident cats, learning to coexist without disturbing them. While Bandit is great with kids, his playful enthusiasm might be a bit much for younger ones, so he'd do better in a home with older kids. His ideal home would have a securely fenced yard where he can run, explore, and sunbathe. He dreams of an active family who enjoys outdoor activities like hiking and camping. After a day of adventure, he’d happily curl up next to you for some evening snuggles. Bandit still has a few things to work on, including his leash walking skills and the tendency to dig, but he shows excellent recall at home and is always eager to learn. He's looking for a confident family who can continue providing positive training and guidance, as he looks up to his humans or other dogs for support. If you’re looking for a loyal friend who loves adventures as much as he enjoys quiet moments at home, Bandit could be the perfect match for you!
