Rufus is a charming 1.5-year-old American Staffordshire Terrier mix, currently looking for his forever home. Weighing 47 pounds, this medium-energy dog is ready for a family that enjoys both adventures and cozy nights in. He's neutered, up to date on vaccinations, and boasts a sweet personality that’s sure to steal your heart. As a social butterfly, Rufus gets along splendidly with other dogs, both big and small. He enjoys meeting new friends and is excellent at sensing when it’s time for a break during playtime. Walking nicely on a leash is just one of his many good qualities; he passes other dogs calmly without a fuss. Fully house trained and crate trained, Rufus sleeps soundly through the night in his crate and relaxes comfortably while home alone. He lives peacefully with a cat, choosing to ignore it, and has been great with older kids (ages 9 and up). Affectionate and playful, Rufus loves toys, treats, and belly rubs. He forms strong bonds with his family, particularly with women, and may need slow introductions to men due to initial trust issues. His endearing quality is that he’s grateful to have a comfortable bed to snuggle up in, especially after some light-hearted mischief in his early days.
