About Damien
Damien is on the lookout for his forever pack. Coming to us from the San Bernardino City Shelter, this one-and-a-half-year-old, 50-pound Husky has been making quite an impression in the San Fernando Valley. Playful and energetic, he’s the type of dog eager to be your best friend right from the first hello, complete with kisses whether you're prepared or not. With a spirited nature, Damien needs an active household where he can get a solid hour of walking each day—he's not a couch potato. He gets along well with most dogs and is wonderful with children. While he may be less vocal than typical Huskies, his enthusiasm is off the charts. This boy is all heart and all fun. Damien can get a bit mouthy when he shows affection but responds well to correction and is keen to learn. He just needs someone willing to guide him, as he hasn't had much training before. Leash walking is still a developing skill; the world is new to him, but his temperament makes him enjoyable to work with. Not reactive or difficult, he's simply a puppy navigating his way with the right guidance. Cats are currently unknown, and while he’s working on some light food guarding around other dogs, it's not aggressive. He uses his voice to communicate, and with structure and consistency, we anticipate quick progress. He's crate trained and can stay alone for up to four hours. Neutered and up to date on all vaccinations. Damien is a diamond in the rough. His foundation is strong; he simply needs a loving hand to help him shine.
