About Waldo
The search for Waldo is over! After months of evading capture in rural Louisiana, this charming Doodle is ready for a new beginning. He wandered into our care just a day after being trapped, as if to say, "I've had enough, please help me." Now, he enjoys the comforts of soft beds and safety, a stark contrast to his previous life on the streets. It’s clear Waldo once had a loving home, making it all the more heartbreaking that he ended up lost. He truly is a house dog at heart. Waldo is a gentle soul with mesmerizing brown eyes that convey a deep sense of longing. Although he was initially reserved as a stray, his transformation since joining us has been incredible. He loves human attention and shows gratitude in every interaction. He allows us to groom him and even seemed to relish his first bath, lying down to enjoy it. What’s striking is that he doesn't exhibit the hyperactivity some Doodles do; instead, he remains calm and quietly engages, occasionally voicing his desire for more affection. He’s neutered, up-to-date on vaccinations, and microchipped. We are waiting for the final results of his heartworm test; while we hope for a negative result, if he needs treatment, Take Paws Rescue will cover it entirely. At around 2-3 years old and weighing around 55 lbs, Waldo is ready to decompress and find his forever home. He has so much love to give and is on the lookout for his perfect family. If you could provide the soft landing he deserves, Waldo will be eternally grateful. Start your journey today!
