Meet Abby, a lovely 7-year-old brindle Boxer with soulful brown eyes and a peaceful demeanor. She’s spayed and current on her vaccinations, now happily settled in foster care in Stanwood, WA. Abby came to rescue when her previous owner could no longer care for her, but she's adapted wonderfully. You’ll find her to be the kind of dog who seamlessly fits into any routine. Abby is low-maintenance yet affectionate. She enjoys waking up, going for her morning potty break, and then peacefully occupying her spot while you go about your day. Whether you’re working from home or cooking, she’s content nearby without being intrusive. A true Velcro Boxer, Abby follows you around, valuing simply being close. Fully house-trained, she has excellent manners at home. Abby respects the boundaries set for her and sleeps soundly through the night, often claiming her own couch spot for naps. While she doesn’t need constant attention or stimulation, Abby enjoys her daily walks, tail wagging as she greets the world with curiosity. Though she was initially a bit excitable on a leash, her progress has been promising with the help of a front-clip harness. Abby does show a bit of a prey drive, particularly with squirrels and rabbits. Loud noises can startle her, especially around metal grates, but she seeks reassurance from her person when nervous. One of her favorite things? Mealtime. Abby eats more comfortably from a flat plate due to her adorable underbite. Training processes have been easy, as this treat-motivated girl loves food. Recently, she impressed everyone during her veterinary visit, showing off her calm temperament even in unfamiliar environments. Abby embodies tranquility and companionship. She’s not looking for high-energy activities, but rather a loving home where she can share day-to-day life with a family that appreciates her calm and gentle spirit.
