About Jax
Jax is a 3.5-year-old, big, beautiful chocolate lab who’s ready to find his forever home. He was surrendered to Brookline through no fault of his own. After being adopted in 2025 when his original owners divorced, he recently lost his dad, leaving his owner's mother unable to care for him. Jax is loved, but his family decided that surrendering him was best for his future. This happy boy is energetic and loves going for walks and playing fetch, but he’s equally content to curl up on the couch for a nap with you. Jax enjoys meeting new people and dogs, often greeting them with a cheerful bark and a wagging tail. He has a charming ability to win hearts wherever he goes, and he loves being by your side to seek your affection. While Jax does well with independence, he enjoys the company of others. In his foster home, he was alongside three dog siblings, which kept him company when his people were away. He gets along wonderfully with cats and currently lives with two children under 10. Though he enjoys their company, be mindful as he can jump up and may unintentionally knock down small children. Jax knows basic commands but is still honing his doggy manners. He's currently weighing in at 145 lbs, and his new family will need to maintain his exercise and diet to help him reach a healthy lab weight. Jax is a sweet, beautiful boy looking for a loving family. Could you be the one to give him the life he deserves? Ready to meet your new best friend? Apply now!
