About Cannon
Meet Cannon, an energetic young dog who joined DASH after being rescued from a concerning situation in rural Kentucky. He came with eight other dogs destined for a high-kill shelter, but now he's in a much better place, participating in the DASH Prison Program. His handler describes him as playful and a bit goofy, enjoying cuddles and even stealing covers at night. Cannon is currently honing his basic commands and has made great progress with a few already mastered. He’s also adjusting to crate and potty training, along with walking on a leash. This affectionate fellow loves people and gets along well with other dogs, though he hasn't been tested with kids or cats, so careful introductions are recommended. Cannon does tend to bark at strangers, but with guidance from his handler, he's learning to be more at ease. If you're an active individual or family who understands the needs of a dog like Cannon, he's eager to settle in and enjoy some downtime with you after playtime.
