Meet Gorgeous Chewie! This loving pup found his way to KITM after being born on December 28th to a stray Anatolian Shepherd. With his striking appearance, many might think he’s a Golden, but Chewie is a 114-pound Great Pyrenees and Anatolian Shepherd mix, boasting long fur that's both beautiful and functional. At just over a year old, Chewie has been raised to enjoy the comforts of home and the joys of family life. He thrives in calm environments and prefers thoughtful introductions to new faces. With his resource-guarding instincts and impressive size, Chewie is best suited for homes without small children or small dogs. His perfect match will be a confident handler familiar with large breeds who can guide him towards success. This playful giant loves snuggling indoors, exploring the outdoors, and particularly enjoys the snow and splashing in water. He dreams of adventures that include long walks or simply lounging in the backyard with his humans. Chewie enjoys the company of large breeds and has spent time around horses during his stays at the farm. He is neutered, vaccinated, and house trained, ready to join a new family.
