He arrived at the shelter due to a change in his family's situation and is now searching for a forever home where he can continue being the loving companion he’s always been. If you seek a true best friend, Koda is your guy. Affectionately known as a "Velcro dog," he loves being by your side, whether you're on the couch or active around the house. His gentle and patient nature shines through in everything he does. This boy has lived with twin 2-year-old children and has shown immense tolerance; they could cuddle, tug at him, and even put their hands in his mouth while he was eating. He remained calm and relaxed during all handling. Koda's social with other dogs and often played at dog parks. Although he lived with a dominant dog, he never reacted negatively, displaying his easygoing nature. He’s also cohabited successfully with cats, though he does enjoy a good chase, so gradual introductions are key. Outside, his prey drive is strong with squirrels, so a home without chickens or similar animals is essential. He’s both house-trained and crate-trained, ensuring a smooth transition into your home. Koda loves food and is highly motivated by treats, making him an eager participant in training and learning new commands.
