This gorgeous Husky is Leia. Because Leia came from an unbelievably neglectful situation, she was heartworm positive. Leia lived outdoors, locked inside a dog crate that was way too small for her. She was living in her waste, starving, suffering, and being eaten up by mosquitoes. One of those pesky flying demons is guilty of infecting Leia with heartworms. Thankfully, a good samaritan saw Leia's condition and called for help. She was rescued and her life changed forever! Leia is in a loving foster home now and is being spoiled rotten. She has been vetted, microchipped, and spayed. She has undergone heartworm treatment and is ready to start a new life. This was an expensive treatment.
