About Cody URGENT

Cody is urgently searching for a new home. He's a young male Shepherd mix, about 1.5 years old, facing a tough situation due to an upper respiratory infection. Time is of the essence, as he has been at the Kern County Animal Services - Bakersfield Shelter since July 9, 2026, and needs to find a loving home as soon as possible. Cody has a striking coat of black with yellow accents, which complements his short fur. He’s been described as a friendly guy, ready to be a devoted companion. If you're ready to adopt, please reach out as soon as you can since he’s at high risk due to shelter overcrowding! The Companion Animal Protection Society (CAPS) works tirelessly to help dogs like Cody find safe havens. They have partnered with Kern County Animal Services to aid animals in need. While adopting, rescuing, or fostering, it’s advised to use the CAPS contact form instead of calling, as they have limited staffing capacity. Don't wait any longer—Cody is waiting for someone to change his fate!
