About Logan
Logan is a 5-year-old shepherd/Rhodesian Ridgeback mix with a goofy, puppy-like energy that never fails to bring a smile. Heās about 80 lbs but still thinks heās lap dog materialāexpect plenty of cuddles, hugs, and enthusiastic kisses. Logan loves people, including strangers, and is happiest right in the center of attention. He takes a gentle approach to toysāgathering them together, chewing but hardly destroying, and always finding fun in the simplest things. Smart and eager, Logan knows how to sit, shake, and give a "high five," and takes treats politely. He picks up rules quickly and is easy to redirect. This guy gets along well with dogs of all sizes and has peacefully lived with both large and small pups in foster care. He loves to join a canine buddy for a walk and isnāt bothered by barking or commotion. Kidsāespecially older onesāfit right into his world, as do daily walks and a backyard for running or rolling in the grass. Logan walks well on a leash, though a refresher on pulling would help given his strength. Heās curious about cats but not fixated, so a cat-experienced home could work with smart introductions. Food-wise, Logan protects his meals with other dogs, likely from a leaner past, so he should be fed separatelyābut heās shown improvement and always feels better when fed extra treats. He chatters a lot (think Husky-style whining and opinions), particularly if left out of fun, but doesnāt have separation anxiety and is fine being left alone. He travels well in the car and even enjoys water. Logan is looking for a home where thereās time for play, walks, and big doses of affection. Heād be happy with another dog or as your one-and-only, and would do best with space to run and loving people to call his own. Theyāll never be bored with this fun-loving guy around.
