About Fezzik Longtime Resident!

Fezzik Longtime Resident! urgently needs a safe haven to recover from a treatable upper-respiratory illness. This 5-month-old Shepherd mix has already spent nearly a month in the shelter and is quickly approaching a critical point as space runs out. Fezzik is still just a puppy and hasn't yet figured out house training, but he’s young enough to learn quickly in a caring home environment. Fezzik is currently at the Kern County Animal Services - Bakersfield Shelter, where more than 300 dogs are housed indoors without access to outdoor runs. Dogs over five months old are considered high risk due to the overwhelming number of abandoned pets in the area. Fezzik’s best shot at recovery and a full life requires a compassionate adopter or foster, especially anyone in Kern County or the nearby West Coast. His short, brindle, black, and golden coat is easy-care, and he’s already neutered and up-to-date on his vaccinations. Fosters must reside in Kern County, but transportation can be arranged for West Coast adopters. Fezzik is waiting for someone to give him a new start outside the crowded shelter. Lets make it official, apply to adopt!
