Meet Nutmeg, a sweet and gentle 8-year-old black and tan long-haired Dachshund looking for her forever home. She arrived at Little Paws as a surrender and is just starting to learn what it means to be a cherished family dog. At 9 lbs of soft fluff, Nutmeg is calm indoors and loves to explore at her own pace. She's currently working on her potty training and will need patience in this area. Nutmeg has never been on a leash, making walks a new adventure for her, so a securely fenced yard is a must for her safety and comfort. She's a little shy at first but warms up quickly once she feels secure. Nutmeg gets along well with other dogs, though she hasn't been tested with larger breeds.
