Meet Clementine! This affectionate 1-year-old Border Collie weighs 47 pounds and has a personality that just warms the heart. Right now, she’s thriving in foster care, sharing her space with another dog and enjoying their company. However, what Clementine truly craves is to be close to her person. She’ll happily curl up in your lap and soak in all the pets you can provide. Calm and easygoing at home, Clementine follows her foster mom from room to room, then settles down for a cozy nap nearby. She’s fully house-trained, hasn’t barked, and responds beautifully to gentle verbal cues. Clementine knows commands like "sit" and "down," and she walks nicely on a leash without aggression in sight, just pure gentleness. Border Collies are known for their intelligence, and Clementine thrives on training and mental stimulation. She enjoys active play but also possesses a lovely "off switch"—after some exercise, she’s ready to snuggle on the couch with you. While she would happily welcome a confident canine companion, she doesn't need one to be fulfilled. Clementine does take a little time to adjust to new situations, but with trust, her loving nature shines. Do keep in mind that she’s not a fan of being crated and has mastered escaping from her foster mom's attempts at crating. Therefore, a family that can offer her freedom or is willing to patiently work on crate training would be ideal. Clementine is seeking a home where someone is mostly around.
