About Peanut URGENT

Meet Peanut, an urgent rescue needing a new home! This 7-year-old Pit Bull Terrier is currently held at the Kern County Animal Services in Bakersfield, CA. Peanut has an upper respiratory infection and is at risk of being euthanized. With a short coat and a striking gray/blue and white color, sheโ€™s a medium-sized dog who has been waiting at the shelter since July 8, 2026. Sheโ€™s vaccinated but not yet altered, making her an urgent adoption case. Companion Animal Protection Society (CAPS) works closely with the shelter to find homes for dogs like Peanut who are at risk. Given the overcrowded conditions, space is extremely limited, and she really needs a safe place to call home as soon as possible.
