About Rue
Rue is a delightful 10-week-old female mixed breed dog, a charming blend of American Staffordshire Terrier and Weimaraner. Weighing around 9 pounds now, she’s likely to grow into a 30-40 pound pup. Rue came to us in a litter of eight from Southern Virginia, where her mama fought through extreme hardship to care for them. This little one is full of energy and loves to play with her toys, wrestle with her siblings, and cuddle up. Her sweet demeanor makes her a great fit for various families. However, adopting Rue means embracing responsibility. She’ll need crate training, house training, obedience training, and socialization. Though she’s had a whirlwind life already, with more travels than many adults, she’s on the path to becoming a wonderful companion. A meet and greet with all family members, including any other pets, will be required. Don’t hesitate — this loving little one will soon be ready for her forever home.
