About Charger
Charger is a lively, young American Staffordshire Terrier in Youngstown, OH. He clocks in at a medium build (about 40 lbs) and is having a tough time with the noise and commotion of shelter life—he’s overstimulated, anxious, and missing the chance to just be a dog in a home. What Charger needs is stability, affection, and regular routines to help him relax and show you what a goofball he can really be. Charger’s personality shines through his playfulness and sense of humor. He knows basic commands like sit and down, and though he gets wound up easily, he responds well to direction. He met an older, calm dog and handled it well, but with his current stress, it’s best if he’s the only dog for now. Once he decompresses, slow intros to other dogs may work fine. Older children would be a better fit since Charger is full of energy and still learning boundaries. If you’re local and need backup, training support is available for fosters and adopters. Charger isn’t house trained yet, but he’s worth the effort. He just needs a household ready for a genuinely fun-loving but sensitive dog who needs out of the shelter stat. Your home could make all the difference for him. What are you waiting for? Apply today!
