About Erling
Meet Erling, a charming 3-month-old Australian Shepherd mix tipping the scales at just under 10 pounds. Despite his rough start, evidenced by his battered ears and a patch of missing hair, he radiates love and trust in his interactions. As his foster mom notes, all that past trauma hasn’t dampened his spirit. Erling’s puppy energy is contagious: he’s curious, playful, and always ready to explore the world. He enjoys toys, sturdy chewables, and the thrill of car rides. As he grows, he’ll need a dedicated family committed to his training, covering essential skills like house training and basic manners. He interacts well with the older dogs in his foster home, though they aren’t quite sure what to make of his energetic antics. While he’s seen the resident cat, he hasn't had any direct interactions yet. He hasn't met children either, but we believe older kids who understand puppy behavior would be the best fit for him. Friendly, outgoing, happy, and resilient, Erling is destined for a bright future. Now he just needs a loving family to guide him. The adoption fee is $350, in addition to a $15 fee for rabies registration for McLean County residents if he’s over four months. He has been neutered, microchipped, vaccinated, heartworm checked, dewormed, and is on flea and heartworm preventatives. Give him a chance and create a wonderful adventure together.
