About Cece
Cece is a one-year-old mixed breed with a medium build and a striking brindle short coat. She’s initially shy, especially around men or in unfamiliar situations, but her sweet and playful side reveals itself once she feels safe. Cece forms close bonds with her people, trailing them around the house and curling up whenever she can—she’s happiest as part of the action or nearby with toys to occupy her. A home with another friendly dog would help her gain confidence, as Cece loves canine company and learns from dogs who are comfortable in new settings. She’ll need a calm, experienced adopter and a quiet environment, ideally with a fenced yard, since she’s prone to escaping if startled. Though Cece hasn’t had much exposure to children, a household with calm, patient kids could be a good fit with the right introduction. She currently isn’t house trained and hasn’t practiced leash walking yet due to her fearfulness, but she’ll need regular exercise and play to thrive. Cece’s adoption fee is fully sponsored, but a $15 rabies registration fee applies for McLean County residents. She’s spayed, up to date on vaccinations, microchipped, heartworm negative, and kept current on flea and heartworm prevention. Ready to meet your new best friend? Apply now!
