About Tanner
Meet Tanner, the free spirit with a brilliant mind and a heart of gold. He is one of the remarkable survivors from a hoarding situation in Deep South Texas, where over 20 Huskies and German Shepherds were rescued from dire circumstances. Tanner made quite the impression when he arrived at the rescue ranch, quickly becoming a staff favorite thanks to his charm and intelligence. Tanner is known for his mischievous escape artist skills. While he has the potential to break free from kennels and pens, he chooses to stick around, enjoying the connection he has with people. He’s the only dog allowed to roam the rescue grounds freely, which speaks to his well-behaved nature. Tanner thrives on independence and would love a home that accommodates his need for a securely fenced yard and a doggie door. Though Tanner is still working on house training, he is fully vetted—neutered, up-to-date on vaccinations, and heartworm negative. He isn’t just looking for a home; he’s seeking a person who appreciates his intelligence and gives him the freedom to express himself. If you’re in search of a loyal companion with personality for days, Tanner is your guy. What are you waiting for? Apply today!
