Meet Summit, a gentle senior German Shepherd with a heart as big as his smile. He’s approximately 8 to 10 years old and has a calm demeanor that fits right into a cozy home. After being rescued by one of our dedicated fosters, Summit is finally experiencing love and comfort. Summit enjoys leisurely walks and loves to chase a tennis ball every now and then, but mostly he’s all about relaxation. One of his favorite pastimes is riding in the car with his head happily out the window. His adorable ears and constant smile are sure to win your heart. He is house trained, quietly content indoors, walks well on a leash, and knows commands like “sit.” Although he has some age-related hip discomfort and is working on gaining weight, his calm, gentle nature makes him the perfect companion for anyone seeking a devoted friend rather than an active hiking buddy. Currently, Summit is settling into foster care and is best as the only dog while he builds his confidence. His ideal home offers peace, daily walks, plenty of naps, and all the love he's missed. If you’re ready for a loyal companion to share your life, Summit is eager to make up for lost time.
