About Shiloh

Meet Shiloh! Shiloh is a lovable, young Australian Cattle Dog who was born blind, yet that hasn’t slowed him down at all! He’s making remarkable progress in living a full, joyful life with just a few accommodations. Don’t underestimate him; Shiloh is clever, adapts well, and just needs some extra time to learn the layout of his environment before his playful side truly comes out. This sweet pup will thrive in a home that can provide the time and patience he requires during his initial adjustment phase. After he settles in, there’s no doubt he will become a wonderful companion. With gentle encouragement, he reveals more of his personality each day, glowing with newfound confidence. Shiloh enjoys chewing on bones and playing with crinkle toys, as the sound helps him locate them easily. He’s learning commands like a typical puppy, including “leave it,” and is picking up useful cues like “easy” and “careful” to navigate his surroundings safely. While loud or unfamiliar noises can still unsettle him, he always finds his way back to his safe spot. As he gets accustomed to repetitive sounds, he’s starting to explore further outdoors each day. Positive reinforcement and calm interactions will help him feel secure. For the time being, Shiloh would do best as the only dog or paired with a calm, older dog that won’t overwhelm him. He’s building his independence and confidence, and having a quieter companion can help with that. He sleeps soundly in his plastic or covered kennel, as the noise from metal ones makes him uneasy. His kennel is his haven during moments of uncertainty. Shiloh is waiting for someone special to help him thrive. What are you waiting for? Apply today!
