About Cocoa
Cocoa is a remarkable dog in need of a forever home. Although he’s currently safe in a foster family, returning to a shelter environment is not an option for him. He has endured a painful past, with a chain once embedded in his neck, but despite these hardships, Cocoa seeks affection and love. This gentle soul is approximately 50 pounds and really thrives in the company of other dogs, showing us his true playful nature. At home with his foster family, Cocoa runs and plays freely, finding joy not only with his doggy companions but also with chickens. Loud noises can frighten him, so he requires a secure harness for outdoor activities and may need calm-keeping medication during high-stress events. Cocoa shines when he feels safe. He’s looking for a loving family who will continue to help him gain confidence and provide a nurturing environment. His story is far from finished, and he needs someone willing to give him the permanent home he deserves. Your support in sharing Cocoa’s story could help us find the perfect match for this sweet boy. Cocoa's adoption includes a voucher for a Fi GPS tracker to keep him safe. He’s already neutered and vaccinated. The adoption fee is waived — we want nothing more than to see him in a loving home. Let’s ensure Cocoa's journey leads him to the happiness he has been waiting for.
