About Haven
Meet Haven, a gentle 2.5-year-old Great Pyrenees mix who currently weighs around 60 lbs. She has a lovely long coat that’s predominantly white with some creamy tones. Haven has a sweet, calm demeanor that makes her a wonderful companion. She prefers meaningful connections over chaos; her ideal home offers plenty of cuddles without too much stress. Haven’s life hasn’t always been easy. Before joining the rescue, she faced the trials of life on the streets, including dodging traffic and raising her puppies. Now, she’s learning what it means to be a cherished member of a family. After her time outside, she’s embraced the comforts of indoor life, recognizing the benefits of air conditioning and cozy couches. She does get along with other dogs and has shown no interest in creating drama with the resident cats. Instead, they maintain a friendly, mutual distance. While she’s not one for wild antics—think more lounging than racing—Haven enjoys serene strolls and is well-crated outside or inside with her companions. She’s fully house-trained, doesn’t chew on belongings, and even refrains from barking. All she really needs is a loving family who won’t leave her alone for long periods, given her past experiences. Haven is already spayed and up-to-date on vaccinations, so she's ready to go home as soon as her heartworm treatment concludes at the end of August.
