About Baxter
Baxter and his siblings were abandoned under a bridge near Butler, OK and have spent the last two years waiting for a real home. He has grown up in the shelter, which has made him shy, but he's always eager for attention and keen to connect with new people. With his Catahoula and Pyrenees roots, he's energetic, extremely smart, and curious about the world outside his kennel. Baxter needs a secure yard where he can explore safely and start learning house routines. Training comes easily to him—he wants to please, and a patient adopter will see his confidence build with time. Despite being nervous in new situations, he lights up with other dogs and would love a canine playmate. After everything he’s been through, Baxter deserves a stable, loving family ready to help him adjust at his own pace. Click apply to start the adoption process.
