About Mozart
Mozart is an approximately 4-year-old Great Pyrenees/German Shepherd mix tipping the scales at 83 lbs. He knows how to take advantage of a sunbeam and will stretch out, totally at ease, on any soft surface he can find. There's no mistaking him: he's missing part of his jaw, which doesn't affect him at all, but it leaves his big tongue flopped out the side of his mouth in a way that's pure comedy gold. His goofy, sweet face makes people smile wherever he goes. Mozart’s routine flips between sunbathing, wrestling with his foster siblings, and collapsing into a happy heap indoors. He never says no to a cuddle or a treat, and toys don’t last long—he’s a determined chewer. Highly food-motivated, this boy already knows some basic commands but will happily push boundaries if given a chance. Clear your counters: snacks are serious business to Mozart! Socially, Mozart is friendly with dogs of all sizes, gets along with kids at events, and, while curious about cats, stays respectful. He’d love a dog buddy but would also thrive as the only pup in a calm household. He’s leash trained, house trained, crate trained, and learning free roaming, though he prefers quiet, steady environments over noisy, chaotic ones. Car rides aren’t his favorite yet, but he’s working on it. Mozart is gentle, affectionate, and brings both playful antics and peaceful energy. His silly expression is a bonus that will brighten every day. He needs a calm, secure home and someone who’ll appreciate exactly who he is. You’ll find yourself grinning every time you look at him. Every animal deserves a happy ending. This one starts with you.
