About Oakwood

Oakwood is a charming young male Terrier mix, taken in by the HSOV on July 15, 2026, after being found on Oakwood Avenue in Marietta, Ohio. With a white short-haired coat and an adorable, chubby face framed by extra-large erect ears, his brown eyes and few faint black freckles on his muzzle add to his cuteness. Oakwood is full of personality—when we first snapped his photos in his crate, he seemed eager to communicate, as if he had a lot to share about his previous life. He has a stocky build that gives him a solid presence, and though he currently weighs around 55 lbs, Oakwood is still looking for his family. Since he did not have any identification or microchip, he will remain in our care with a mandatory three-day stray hold so his family can reclaim him with proof of ownership. In the meantime, we can't wait to take more pictures of this handsome boy outside in the grass. What are you waiting for? Apply today!
