About Piper

Piper's journey is one of incredible resilience and love. Rescued from a hoarding situation in North Carolina, she faced dire circumstances but has blossomed in foster care. Now about two years old and weighing around 45 pounds, Piper is ready for her forever home. Affectionate and gentle, she embodies the qualities of a wonderful family dog. Piper delights in the company of children and other dogs. You’ll often find her joyfully running in circles or flopping down for a scratch on the grass. However, she can be startled by sudden loud noises, a reminder of her past experiences. A peaceful neighborhood will suit her best. A confident resident dog would also help her continue to build her confidence. Piper is already house and crate trained, although she rarely needs a crate due to her good behavior. If you’re in the MD/NoVa/DC area and looking to welcome a loyal companion, consider adding Piper to your family. She’s waiting for you to take the next step.
