About Piper
Piper embodies resilience and bravery. Rescued from a tough situation in North Carolina, she came to the shelter frightened and underweight, with skin issues due to mange, facing the possibility of euthanasia. Thankfully, she was given a second chance and has blossomed in foster care. Now about two years old and weighing 45 lbs, Piper shows all the qualities of an exceptional family dog: she's affectionate, gentle, and playful. You’ll often find her racing in circles in sheer joy or flopping down on the grass for a good back scratch. Piper adores children and gets along well with other dogs, making her a fantastic addition to any home. Her yoga partner skills are also top-notch; she joins you for morning stretches with a perfect downward dog pose. While she has come a long way, sudden loud noises can still startle her, so she thrives in a calm environment away from the chaos. A quieter neighborhood would be ideal, and she may benefit from having a confident furry friend to help guide her. Piper is already house trained and crate trained, and she behaves beautifully in the home.
