About Halo

Meet Halo! Halo's journey began at one of Houston's busiest shelters, where she narrowly escaped being put on the euthanasia list. Fortunately, a caring staff member chose to foster her, giving her a chance at a new life. She quickly made a remarkable impression, and now it’s her turn to find the forever family she deserves. This calm and loving fluffball is likely around 5-6 years old and weighs about 85 pounds, with some fluff to lose. Halo thrives in a relaxed environment, content to wander in the backyard before collapsing on the cool floor. She’s eager to please and knows commands like sit and shake. Treats make her shine, showcasing her playful personality and making her an easy dog to train further. Halo has been wonderful with every dog she meets and is great with kids. It’s clear she was once someone's beloved pet, as she integrates seamlessly into a home and is happiest when close to her people. Ideally, she needs a family that won’t leave her alone for long stretches. A yard would be perfect, allowing her to explore and stretch her legs. Although we can’t pinpoint her exact breeds, she likely has some Great Pyrenees lineage. Currently fostered in Houston, Texas, Halo is available for adoption across the country, with transport options likely near you. Her $600 adoption fee includes transport costs.
