About Beryl
Beryl, affectionately known as Bea, has spent over a year waiting for the right person to choose her. Having joined the rescue as a puppy in 2017, she was lovingly adopted by her foster mom, a dedicated BFDR volunteer. Unfortunately, when her foster mom passed away in early 2025, Bea found herself in a foster home, still looking for her forever family. This spirited senior doesn't act her age. While she enjoys her independence, Bea would thrive as the only dog in the household. She's fine with other dogs during walks or visits, but she appreciates having her own space. Bea can cohabitate with a cat that ignores her. Though she's not fond of car rides or trips to the vet, Bea's quirky nature shines through in her playful spirit. She thrives on attention and the occasional snack, yet she's content to lounge around, bringing a humorous touch to daily life with her penchant for stealing paper towel tubes. Bea is relatively low-maintenance when it comes to companionship, doing well alone while her family is at work. She’s spry, zipping around the yard like a puppy, and has a knack for finding fun in her surroundings. Currently in Nashville, TN, Bea is ready to travel for the right match. Could you be Bea’s perfect home? What are you waiting for? Apply today!
