About Beryl

Beryl, affectionately known as Bea, has been waiting for over a year for her forever home. She came into rescue as a puppy in 2017 and was adopted by her foster mom, Kim, a dedicated volunteer with Big Fluffy Dog Rescue. Tragically, after Kim’s sudden passing, Bea has been fostered since March 2025. It takes her a little time to warm up to new people, but she’s progressing well, even showing bravery during recent outings. This spunky senior doesn't act her age and has a vibrant personality. She prefers to be the only dog in the home, enjoying playtime with neighbor dogs and those she meets during walks, but values her personal space. A cat that ignores her is acceptable, making the home just right for Bea. While she isn't a fan of car rides, the vet, or groomers, her quirky nature is part of her charm. Bea enjoys her independence but also seeks occasional attention and snacks. She’s well-behaved when left alone, making her an excellent fit for families who work outside of the home. Despite her age, Bea is spry and plays like a puppy in the yard, though she might sneak a bite of cardboard or counter-surfing when the opportunity arises.
