About Beavis
Meet Beavis! This gentle, thoughtful dog arrived at the shelter as a stray, leaving his past a bit of a mystery. Initially unsure of new people and surroundings, he's made significant progress with patience and routine. Now, Beavis approaches the front of his kennel for leashing and walks, greeting new faces with quiet curiosity. He already knows the command "sit" and enjoys affection once he feels comfortable. Beavis loves to play, chasing toys and returning them for another throw without any guarding behaviors. He displayed polite manners during his food assessment and shows no possessiveness over his meals. Socially, he may need slow introductions to other dogs, as he was reserved but not aggressive during his meeting with a similar-sized female dog. Beavis would thrive in a home that provides a structured introduction to other pets and continued positive-reinforcement training.
