About Heath URGENT

Heath is an urgent case looking for a safe home to recover from an upper respiratory infection. This 1-year-old Pit Bull Terrier mix has a lovely brown and white coat and is currently housed at the Kern County Animal Services in Bakersfield. He’s been at the shelter since June 29, 2026, and time is of the essence to find him a caring adopter. As a friendly medium-sized male, Heath has a lot of love to give. His short coat means less maintenance, and he stands ready for a fresh start. With vaccinations up to date and no special needs, he could be the wholesome companion you’ve been waiting for. This shelter is facing a dire situation with many dogs at risk due to overcrowding, so every moment counts. If you're interested in adopting, it’s best to reach out to the Companion Animal Protection Society. Keep in mind that you'll need to be in Kern County for fostering, and transport can be arranged for West Coast adopters.
