About Beryl
Beryl, also known as Bea, has been patiently waiting for her forever home for over a year. This spirited senior girl doesn’t act her age at all. Beryl came into rescue as a playful puppy in 2017 and was adopted by a foster mom who was also a devoted volunteer. After the sudden passing of her foster mom, Beryl has been living in a foster home since March 2025. Although she can be a bit shy initially, she’s making wonderful progress getting used to people. Bea thrives as an only dog, enjoying her space and having fun with neighbors' pets from a distance. She’s cool with cats as long as they give her the space she needs. While she prefers to avoid car rides and vet visits, her foster is working hard to help her acclimate. Beryl has her quirks, like stealing toilet paper tubes (apparently they’re delicious), but she’s also quite independent. She’s not the type to smother you with affection but appreciates some attention and treats every now and then. This lady may be a senior, but she’s spry and loves to zoom around the yard like a young pup. She does well when left alone, making her a candidate for families who work outside the home. It may take a bit to win her over, but you’ll find fun and companionship with Beryl. Could you be the perfect match for her? Beryl is currently in Nashville, TN, but she can travel to the right home.
