When he arrived at Suncoast Basset Rescue, Memphis was significantly underweight and battled a urinary tract infection that needed weeks of antibiotics. After treatment, he truly blossomed—gaining over 10 pounds and returning to excellent health with plenty of energy to spare. Memphis loves spending time outdoors, whether he's exploring a securely fenced yard, sniffing intriguing scents, or happily strolling with his people. He thrives in a home where someone is around often, as he craves companionship and wants to be part of the family. While he gets along well with other dogs, Memphis would likely prefer to be the center of attention as an only dog, soaking up all the love himself. After everything he's been through, Memphis is eager to leave his past behind and enjoy his golden years being loved, spoiled, and cherished.
