About Hope

Meet Hope! This sweet angel joined the Anti-Cruelty Society when her previous family faced financial difficulties. Hope is a shy lady, often hiding when visitors come to the adoption lobby; however, she truly wants to meet you. Just let a staff member know, and they'll happily bring her out. Patience is key as she takes time to warm up, so an understanding forever family is essential. Older kids would be best, as she gets startled by loud noises. Hope is housebroken, crate trained, and enjoys being around cats, though she can be selective with other dogs. A slow introduction is recommended since she sometimes exhibits guarding behaviors around her food and prized items. Athletic and mobile, Hope is also the perfect companion for walks or hikes. She’s looking for a gentle, loving home that will help her build trust and confidence. Interested in adopting or fostering this beautiful princess? Stop by our Adoption Center in Chicago to meet her.
