About Rusell

Meet Rusell. Rusell is a striking, powerful young dog searching for an experienced adult home where he can be someone’s loyal and exclusive companion. After a period in foster care, he returned to the rescue when his foster’s landlord no longer allowed pets. In a home setting, Rusell showed just how much he enjoys being close to his humans. He loves belly rubs, ear scratches, walks in the woods, car rides, toys, and, of course, training treats. Rusell knows commands like sit, wait, down, and come. He’s intelligent, food-driven, and thrives on routine. However, he can become overstimulated and may nip at the leash. His social interactions with other dogs can be awkward; he tends to come on strong and is best as the only pet in the household. Rusell’s ideal home will have adults only, no other pets, and an experienced, physically capable handler. A calm, structured environment is essential, and a secure 6-foot fenced yard is preferred. With the right person and environment, he has the potential to become a devoted and affectionate companion. Ready to make a connection? Apply to adopt!
