About Lennard
Meet Lennard, affectionately known as Lenny! This sweet two-year-old is a playful 57 pounds of love with an inspiring backstory. Found wandering the streets of Brooklyn, he came to foster care timid and anxious. With patience and consistent training, Lenny has transformed into the affectionate and well-behaved dog he is today. Lennard is curious and clever, always eager to entertain himself and you. His food motivation makes him a quick learner, whether he's sniffing out hidden kibble or working with puzzle feeders. He is house and crate trained, and he knows commands like "sit," "stay," "down," and "paw." While he walks well on a loose leash, he may occasionally need a treat to redirect his attention when curious about other dogs. This easygoing boy isn't phased by baths, car rides, or even fireworks. Although he can get a bit anxious when left alone, he's making great progress. Lenny would probably thrive with another dog if introduced slowly, but he needs to be in a home without small pets due to his prey drive. Being a bit strong, he's ideally suited for an adults-only home where he can receive plenty of exercise, structure, and love. If you're looking for a dog that will shower you with affection, Lennard is your guy! He's currently being fostered in Vassalboro, ME. What are you waiting for? Apply today!
