Eeyore is a young Pit Bull Terrier mix, arriving at the shelter in rough shape but has come a long way. Once emaciated and dealing with wounds, he's now reached a healthy 50 lbs and is ready for a loving home. This sweet boy is learning how to trust again and thrives on attention, though he can be timid in new situations. He needs a patient adopter who will give him time to adjust to a new environment. Eeyore walks well on a leash, though he may need some encouragement initially. He's starting to enjoy playtime and is curious about toys. He gets excited when meeting other dogs, displaying a friendly demeanor, although he still needs a little time to get comfortable enough to play fully. He’s also shown curiosity with cats. Because of his background, it's best to feed Eeyore separately from other pets. He’ll be evaluated for his double cherry eyes at the vet for potential treatment.
