About Baby Girl

Baby Girl’s round face and sad-eyed pout make her hard to resist. She’s a soft, shy dog who needs a little extra time to trust new people, but patience pays off—once comfortable, her gentle side comes through. Right now, walks are a work in progress. Leashes still confuse her; sometimes she freezes up, then darts forward, but she responds well to reassurance and treats (she accepts them gently). Volunteers and staff are helping her build confidence every day. Baby Girl gets curious around new dogs, but she isn’t always sure what to do and struggled with food and treats around other animals in her last home. She’ll need to eat separately in the future. She lived with other dogs and small children before without trouble. With cats, she mostly loses interest after a quick sniff. This dog will thrive with a calm, patient adopter who can give her space as she settles in. Born July 14, Baby Girl is a Cancer—a sun sign known for sensitivity and loyalty. Ready to fall in love?
