About LOCAL CAT Benedict
Benedict is a charming tabby boy with a sweet disposition. Originally named for his escapade from an isolation cage, he surprised everyone with his happy demeanor once neutered and moved into the cat room. Although he can be a bit shy and submissive at first, he's always thrilled to receive love and attention from the volunteers. He shares his space well with other friendly cats and finds comfort in the company of sweet mama cats in the playroom, enjoying peaceful moments together. Benedict tested positive for FIV, but don’t let that concern you. He can lead a long, healthy life like any other cat, as long as he stays indoors to avoid other viruses. He gets along well with people of all ages and other cats. While we're unsure how he feels about dogs, his calm nature suggests he might coexist well with a cat-friendly dog. He is about 6 years old, neutered, and house-trained—all set to find his forever home! The adoption fee is $75, and while checks are accepted for Rhode Island residents, others may use credit/debit cards or money orders. For more information, feel free to reach out or visit the shelter. Every animal deserves a happy ending. This one starts with you.
