Fauna is an affectionate large American Bully with a short coat, currently located in Plainfield, NJ. She is spayed and her vaccinations are up to date. At 53 lbs, she is a big dog with an even bigger heart. While she has not yet been tested with small children, cats, or other dogs, potential adopters should ensure she has space during feeding times.

About Fauna

Fauna found herself in tough circumstances when a group of concerned motorists discovered her wandering by the highway on a rainy morning. After a determined schoolteacher managed to rescue her, she arrived at the police station, wet and weary but with a spirit full of kindness. Initially hesitant, she has learned to greet new faces with warmth and affection, embodying the spirit of her namesake, the gentle fairy from *Sleeping Beauty*. This large American Bully has no idea just how big she is, often climbing into laps for some affectionate smooches, which the staff affectionately label as "aggressive kissing." Fauna has a fun side, known for her impressive skills at plushie destruction—every new stuffie becomes a participant in her signature fluff-ectomy. However, due to her past experiences with food insecurity, she prefers mealtimes to be calm and is looking for older children who can respect her space during these moments. While she has struggled with other dogs, there's a chance she could bond with a tolerant large breed male. If you’re looking for an XL bully with a huge heart, Fauna might just be your perfect match.
