AvailableJasper is a young, large American Bully mix with a short white and cream coat. He’s about 3 years and 10 months old and currently located in West Milford, NJ. Jasper is neutered, vaccinated, house trained, and was born deaf, so he’ll need a dedicated adopter who understands his needs. Despite his special needs, Jasper is full of energy and personality, eager to bond with the right person.
About Jasper
If sweet fun were a sport, Jasper would win every time. Deaf since birth, this big, happy American Bully mix lives fully in the present and brings plenty of joy wherever he goes. That said, Jasper absolutely needs a structured home with an experienced dog person—someone ready to put in the time to train, set real boundaries, and be the leader he needs. Jasper’s stubborn and funny, quick to amuse, but if allowed to run the show, he’ll make his own rules. His last home let things slide, and with too much freedom, his behavior shifted—no biting, ever, but he started testing boundaries and grew pushy. Since joining us, Jasper’s done well in a routine and takes direction, so with ongoing training (first session on us at Canine Cooperative), he’ll only improve. Jasper is about 3.5 years old and was born under the sign of Cancer, known for loyalty and a deep bond with their family. His deafness doesn’t hold him back—if anything, it creates an even closer partnership with his person. Outdoors or at public events, Jasper shines and got along with everyone, especially kids 15 and up. He enjoys walks, is on a weight-loss diet for better health, and is fully house trained, neutered, and up to date on his vaccines. He does great with other dogs out in public, but we haven’t seen him living with dogs at home. With the right adopter, commitment, and environment, Jasper could be your best friend for life.
