About Zip

Zip is a 6-month-old male Miniature Schnauzer mix, weighing 26 lbs. He’s on a journey of learning to trust the world and has made impressive strides since arriving at the shelter. He initially came to us unsocialized; however, he now greets us eagerly at the front of his kennel and has started bravely stepping out on a leash. While unfamiliar people and situations still make him uneasy, his confidence grows with each gentle interaction. To help Zip flourish, he requires a family ready to guide him through his early experiences of being a family dog. A consistent routine, positive reinforcement, and a good deal of patience will be crucial in shaping him into a loving companion. He is comfortable around the dogs he arrived with but needs careful introductions to new canine friends as he learns how to socialize. If you enjoy celebrating the small victories—like a happy wagging tail or a confident walk—Zip could be your ideal match. The effort and love you invest in him will pay off as he transforms into the wonderful dog we know he can be. Ready to fall in love? Hit apply and lets get started.
