About Monty

Monty faced a sudden upheaval when his owner passed away, leaving him to navigate a new world without his beloved companion. Tragically, after being taken in by family, he was met with an aggressive resident dog, leading to his surrender to an overcrowded shelter where his future felt bleak. Recognizing Monty’s gentle spirit and the love still left to share, we stepped in to give him the chance he deserves. Now safe, Monty is eager to find a family that values him and will ensure he never experiences abandonment again. This medium-sized mixed breed boy is around 5 years old, has a tricolor coat, and is ready for a second start. Monty gets along well with both cats and dogs, making him an excellent addition to a loving home. All dogs in our program are altered, microchipped, and vaccinated prior to adoption. Don’t let distance discourage you; we offer transportation options within 6 hours of NYC! Are you ready for a loyal companion? Click apply to start the adoption process.
