Comet is a handsome 2–3-year-old pup who came to us as a stray, and now he’s ready to find a forever home where he can truly shine. At first, Comet can come off as a shy, reserved guy who likes to keep to himself. New people and environments can be a little overwhelming for him—but give him a little time and patience, and you’ll quickly discover his true personality. Once he feels comfortable, Comet turns into a total cuddlebug who just wants to be close to his person. He’s incredibly affectionate, gentle, and has the most expressive eyes that will absolutely melt your heart. Comet is housebroken and already knows some basic commands like “sit” and “paw.” He’s also very treat motivated, which makes him a great candidate for continued training and bonding time with his future family. While Comet is a sweetheart with people, he does appear to be reactive to other dogs here at the shelter. Because of this, he would do best as the only pet in the home, where he can relax and not feel overwhelmed.
